This huge stand of trout lilies can be seen at Kuechmann Park but you’d better hurry!  Spring wildflowers have anotoriously short lives.  They sprout, grow, flower, set seed and then go dormant in a few short weeks. These and other ephemerals such as cutleaf toothwort and prairie trillium can be seen at Lake Zurich’s woodland parks, Kuechmann Park on Old Rand Road and Oak Ridge Marsh Nature Park on Lions Drive.  Go have a look- but quickly!
